State Laws for Inflatable Amusement Rides

New Jersey
New Jersey has the strictest legislation of any US state with regard to inflatable amusement rides. New Jersey statues require specific manufacturing standards (and manufacturers must pay to submit each inflatable to New Jersey for official sanction - as a result of the high price most manufacturers submit only their most popular inflatables), operating procedures, insurance, certification, and regular inspections. The official New Jersey government site with the current inflatable amusement ride standards can be found Here

Pennsylviania
Though not as strict as New Jersey, Pennsylvania stands out as the only other state thus far to pass legislation pertaining specifically to inflatable amusement rides. The official Pennsylvania government site with the current inflatable amusement ride standards can be found at Here (use the "Next" button at the top of the page to navigate through the statutes.)

Other States
No other states have specific inflatable statutes at the moment, beyond requiring insurance. Many states have mechanical amusement ride statutes; however, the definitions are typically written in such a way that inflatables are not affected by the legislation.
